7 Dating/Relationship Do's
We all want the relationship that makes us feel like the world just wouldn't be the same without that special man or wonderful women, right? When we meet that rare someone, we want to get and keep there attention, so how do we do that? How do you keep it fresh, make the right impressions, take it to the next level- in a smooth and comfortable way? I researched many lists and picked my seven favorite relationship do's. Love can be a magic- and magic pure bliss and we all need a little help from time to time to make it special and make it last!
Dating Do's:
1. RELAX- This one is crucial. But it's the most difficult. It's so important that the real you comes out. The good, the bad, the beautiful and even the ugly. But it all doesn't need to come out on the very fist date. How can someone love the REAL you if they don't know the REAL you. If your all uptight and uneasy, I promise you, anything but the real you will come out. So RELAX and enjoy the ride.
2. MOVE AT YOUR OWN PACE- Everyone has there own individual pace. Don't be afraid to speak up and let them know your pace. There is nothing that sets a relationship off on the wrong track faster then going at warp speed. [Unless supernova speed is your thing]. If you make it clear in the beginning, and you are with someone who is genuinely interested, they will respect your pace and keep it.
3. BE ATTENTIVE- Be a good listener. Put the cellphones away on a date! The person in front of you needs to feel special! If you listen to your date/mate they will see that you are sincerely interested and they will want to share with you every time.
4. AVOID THE NEGATIVE- Yes, we all have ex's and difficult past experiences. But too much talk about an ex opens doors you may have never intended to open! And by the way, didn't some good things happen? By focusing on the positive things even in a bad past relationship, you are showing the one you love that what really matters to you is what is good and that is what you focus on. If you must bring up an ex, try not to stay on the topic too long. Short and sweet- and if it's a sticky topic, remember to stay positive and try to bring up the good things the experience taught you. Don't forget laughter! Do things and talk about that make you laugh- and don't forget to laugh at yourself and remember, nobody's perfect!
5. KEEP IT FRESH- Be spontaneous! Plan ahead, do something new. Surprise is truly the element that's missing from so many relationships and there are so many things we can do to surprise the one we love. A new concert, a sporting event, a home cooked meal, massage, bubble baths, comedy shows. Plan ahead for dates and turn an ordinary day into something special.
6. BE GENTLE- No matter your age or sex, deep down inside, we are all fragile. Men need to feel safe and nurtured just as much as women- and even if you are stark, raving mad, it's always best to be gentle in the way that you speak and behave. Nothing keeps a relationship going more than delicate, tender loving care.
7. SHOW YOUR SEX APPEAL- It's easy to get "comfortable" in a relationship. We all fall into the cotton pajama and ripped up shirt routine. You walk around in your jogging pants and leave your hair in a ponytail for five strait days. That's right, you know who you are.. We all have our moments when we just don't feel like dressing up and being "sexy". But remember ladies [and guys] it's you they want. Show them your drop dead gorgeous, playful, fun loving side sometimes too! Buy some new lingerie and spice it up. Put on some make-up and take your hair down!
